1st Prize – $ 400.00 / 2nd Prize – $200.00 / 3rd Prize – $75.00

The Whistler Spirit Run, part of the Vancouver Sun Run Series and Lower Mainland Cross Country Series, is a Cross Country and Trail running event featuring something for everyone at Whistler Olympic Park. It is the realization of the late coach Frank Reynolds’ vision to have a mass participation cross country event while encouraging and supporting British Columbia high school and University athletes through charitable donations and scholarship programs.

“We want to encourage people to be healthy and active, and offering prize money gives that extra incentive. SierraSil is thrilled to be involved in the Whistler Spirit Run again and support such a great community event by providing a little motivation and pain free training!”, said Melanie Trepannier, Community Relations Manager for Sierrasil Health Inc.

Since its inception 6 years ago, The Whistler Spirit Run has attracted people of all ages and built strong relationships. This year’s version will consist of cross country events of various distances for school and club teams, a fun 4x2KM team relay and individual competitive races where substantial prize money will be offered. The Whistler Spirit Run is part of the Lower Mainland Cross Country Series, where runners have the opportunity to collect points towards the overall series.

“We’re are once again excited and proud that our partnership with SierraSil has been extended and that we’ll be able to offer substantial prize money for the “Open and Masters” section. Our goal is to reward some of the most competitive runners and give them an added incentive to compete at the highest level in this beautiful location”, said Peter Diemer, Chair of the organizing group of The Whistler Spirit Run.
